Voter ignorance, racism, misogyny drove voters to trmp. Facts did not matter. When millions of voters start paying attention 72 hours before voting day, there are problems. A large part of our electorate need to educate themselves instead of playing games on their phones.
As I posited in my piece (Fears, Phobias and Prejudices) the blindness caused by the misinformation campaign and focus on people's personal weaknesses is starting to give people buyer's remorse, but there a simple solution
Keep tabs on your legislator or representative and if he blindly kowtows to the whims of one individual and against the needs of your district or community, vote him out in two years. VOTE IN 2026.

I’ve been around a while, I’m well informed, and I’m a bit of a political junkie. I just want to say that I can’t make much sense of what happened in the 2024 election. Just as Trump is about to enter office, many voters finally seem to get it. And it’s too late.
I can't stop laughing. They didn't know that when you support Republicans to be in charge of our economy, the top 1% gain vastly, and everyone else, especially working people, lose? Not to mention the union-busting, minimum wages that require 3 jobs to just survive and monopolies and their leaders being worshipped as some kind of gods? There is a huge "I told you so" moment coming.
The American voters did not do their homework. They overlooked a far more grounded and experienced candidate in public policy and bureaucracy because of her gender, race and daughter of first immigrant while decrying the age of the current president with spectacular results, over one who will be older when his term is up, showed signs of cognitive deficits, is a convicted felon and has a tendency to give whatever his rich friends want.....in return for loyalty and "economic considerations."
And we the more reasonable voters are getting dragged into this MAGA-dominated diaspora and while we fear we know what to expect, our "I TOLD YOU SO" will not mean anything...at least for the next 2 years.
