Pennsylvania US Senate candidate Lt. Gov. John Fetterman (D) aimed at Republicans for blocking $35 insulin and vowed that, unlike Oz, he would fight Big Pharma.
Senate Republicans killed the cap for the cost of insulin on private insurance plans and just gave Democrats another major issue for the midterm election.
Senate Majority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said that the Senate would vote very soon on a bipartisan bill to lower the cost of insulin.
The House passed a bill to lower the price of insulin to no more than $35/month, but 193 House Republicans voted against it.
