I think that keeping an innocent, legal American resident in a notorious prison in El Salvador is reprehensible and criminal, just like the Trump administration itself. This story must stay in the headlines for as long as it takes to secure his release.

That's because the Republicans in Congress don't have spines, and they are afraid that Trump will call them childish names and primary them in the next election. They're just a bunch of spineless cowards.

Make them more afraid of being voted out of office. They have many years ahead of them. He will be gone and they will have lost their power.

I wonder how fast an immigrant that was illegally abducted gets out of that hell hole prison, if he was related to a member of congress?

No, Mr Republican. We're talking about American children deported, a judge arrested, a president who ignores the Supreme Court, tariffs that are draining money, a president who threatens universities and law offices. It's okay if you like him. The white supremacists and the KKK love him so many people love him and it's ok if you do. But I do not.

The only hope I have now is the judge that is threatening criminal contempt of court for those responsible for this outrage against the rule of law and the constitution. He will have to go around the attorney general to do this because she lied too to support Trump and his fascist regime.

How will Boasberg enforce his ruling. We MUST take to the streets in peaceful and forceful numbers. They cannot stop us all. I recommend the stocks for Trump, Muck, Miller and Vance. I would be willing to travel to DC to throw a rotten tomato at them, but I won’t stand in line to spit on Trump’s grave. The line would be too many miles long.

I agree about peaceful protests on an ongoing basis. Would they try to arrest millions of people across the country engaged in peaceful protest? I certainly hope not. Poland had a dictator for years and it was the power of the people who overthrew him eventually

... yet, Joanne. Dems. have a strategist who is coaching people who want to learn and be effective against everything coming down from the current administration. The strategist is Simon Rosenberg whose Substack group is Hopium Chronicles.

This gives me hope. Sandra. Thank you!

We cannot, MUST not allow this to continue. TANKS in the streets - !? - and Elon

Musk with his Nazi salutes! And Pam, our new Hitler, spinning lies about an innocent man kidnapped by us. I cannot imagine any world leader

tweeting “whoopsies” and laughing emojis and swearing “we will NEVER send him back!” Israel would have gotten him out of that hell hole before they noticed he was gone. Maybe we should have gotten their help. Too late I guess.

Try Hopium Chronicles, Barb. It's free if you need it to be. And you can learn about the best, most effective ways of getting involved at whatever level of political ignorance you happen to be (like me at 88, who routinely fell asleep during high school history class). To say I've needed Simon Rosenberg in my life forever is an understatement.

The message that the Dems ‘aren’t using their power’ or doing anything is a message promoted by the Trump regime to stoke criticism and division. So many are doing EVERYTHING in their power to fight this… Van Hollen is in El Salvador right now… fact is they don’t have the power to stop this. The GOP has all the power. We know that many are “uncomfortable” with many things that Trump is doing, but they keep voting along party lines to protect their position inthe party instead of speaking out. If we’re going to audit any group’s action or inaction, it should be the GOP-they are complicit in all of this mess.

To me, expecting the Democrats to fix this is like asking the oppressed to fix oppression in a system.

Let’s all turn that “calling out” or auditing politicians’ lack of effective action onto the GOP… or the courts that don’t follow through with action after the administration defies court orders.

Continue to speak the truth about the crimes of the Trump regime. No more illegal deportations! No more kidnapping immigrants and lying to deprive them of their freedom. Well done, sir!
