I don’t think they can be shamed. They are so deep into Felon 47 they will never do anything against him. The gop has no leaders, they have weak people with no integrity or morals. What I wan to know is what when are the democrats going to stick together and say no to it all.

Serious question - Where in Noah’s article did he speak to using shame as a tool to call out Musk for what he is, a neo-Nazi?

We all know (or should know) that we’re beyond using shame as leverage against neo-Nazis. I’d prefer that we call these people for what they are: neo-Nazis. Actual Nazis who participated in WWII and Hilter’s Third Reich are dead. Maybe pointing out that fact along with calling neo-Nazis exactly this is a way to break their own narrative.

Mocking, laughing at, etc. are other useful tools to use against neo-Nazis. I don’t mean name-calling. I mean responses that speaks with facts and mockingly. Laughter breaks people who want to be feared or want to intimidate us. Voting with our wallets and our feet is a way to break billionaires.

I’m trying to break my Amazon and Prime video habit. It’s a struggle because of the habits that I cultivated during the “decade” of 2020.

In the end, I think it’s helpful to remember that there are far, far more of us than there are of them. Some people might not like this “us vs. them” mentality. Folks, it’s the reality that we are in. Republicans have been framing “us vs them” since before Ronald Reagan (another bought & paid for corporate man) became California’s governor.

You are right; all ethics have been wrenched from the already ambivalent power seekers. Think of those that left, retired early, and basically couldn’t stomach the vicious game during 45.

They were possibly the last to feel any empathy for others. This new congress is more than complicit; they are vicious in their fear of exposure. Eg Jim Jorden and the wrestling team.

They can all hang together and all shout NO and they will be outvoted.

But so many Americans are so dim and unaware

Maybe the noise will reach mote citizens

Good luck with making those people feel shame. There was a time when they would have but then trump came into their party and all sympathy and shame went to the proverbial, hell in a hand basket.

Yes, they need to feel FEAR, shame ain't gonna cut it.

We need more Luigi Mangiones- than they might feel fear. Any repugs able to be shamed got out.

I really don’t think we can condone killing people in cold blood. I can understand his motives but it’s not a justification.

I don't know. Didn't they leave their shame at the door already? Seems too little, too late for shaming.

I’d love to think that shaming them could work. But maybe with just a few. Most of them offer themselves up to the money gods.

It would seem a logical choice for Democrats to ALL shame their fellow Congressmen that are complicit with the unconstitutional displays Trump is giving. Didn't this used to be America?

I watched tonight, and I agree that shaming may be the only thing that works. I hope the people of Ohio let this corrupt Congressman, governor, mayor know their feeling about having scammer now working for their Congressman. I also saw the part about Trump letting all the Jan 6th rioters go free. He now has his own army, or killers. Think of people like John Bolton who's life was threatened before. He no longer has protection, and now have to worry when one of these people decide to help Trump out and get rid of him.

They see the error but are a bunch of chickens to stand up to the bully!

Agreed. Perhaps that is the key to the shaming- “Senator, do you support the rule of law and believe in our justice system? (Of course they say “yes”) Then why are you afraid to speak out when it is gutted and trampled upon? Can your constituents no longer count on your courage to govern?”

Gotta start somewhere! I called my Republican Congressman’s office today (for the first time I’m sorry to say), and expressed my outrage at Trump’s traitorous pardons, and said that of supports them, I consider him a traitor too.

Bravo, Bill. 👏🏼 I will do the same with my useless Repuke.

I just hope I can keep it up…. It’s so depressing pushing against the tide.

Agree. It’s harder than ever now. And here I thought the Shrub years were difficult! Silly me 🙃

I agree. They should be publicly challenged loudly and often. Concede nothing. Every single policy of the GOP is antithetical to American constitutional development and must be stopped.

Try everything. Throw it against the wall and see what sticks.

When are we going to impeach Trump for this? At least the pugs can be put on the spot for this, officially, all the way up to the Supreme Court for taking him off the hook.

Let me know when there are 66 Democratic Senators to vote him guilty.

For Republicans, it's too late. They will not be saved. Better make the citizens of the USA aware of the shamefulness of all that is happening around the Don Drumpf. Confront the voters and non-voters of the USA with the consequences of their voting behaviour. They know what they did. This is the real shame. i feel ashamed for not having done enough to stop sick man Don Drumpf.

Tomorrow on Wednesday, I will set out to write a scathing shameful diatribe to my very sly & quiet House Representative Kevin Kiley..a quiet maga s o.b. to be sure. Thank you for this very important article on how to go on in this mad - as insane mad - political machine of the 47-Git & his Nazi Overseer.

I doubt they can even feel shame any longer.
