Is the media covering these events at all? If not, call the BBC and have their reporters cover it as they broadcast to a weekly audience of 74 million in over 200 countries and territories worldwide. We need global partners to see we are trying to stop this and. btw, their reporters are pretty darn good.

Outside of PoliticusUSA? The coverage has been barely a mention. It is a literal mention lasting in some cases less than a minute. As in, "Hey, look at those crowds Sen. Sanders is drawing." They never think that there might be a reason why those people are showing up. Keep reading us here. I've been covering Sen. Sanders and his office since he was Rep. Sanders, and I hope my experience shows on that front.--Jason

If you added up all the protests nationwide it would be a staggering number of protestors. We went from 250, to 350 people proesting at Tillis office. 1st to2nd protest. After that, we had a group of 1000 oeople at a town hall that Tillis would not attend. They sat a cardboard in an empty chair. These people are older usually. About ten ladies madeup a song about Tillis, to mock him. It is on the internet, on FB , bluesky, etc. Was also on msnbc.

My point, I dont think Shumer and company know how big this i, and certainly Maga probably doesn't know. Pretty soon the cart will be pushing the horse (or should I say jack ass).

I wish the Democratic Party would rally. It's a fragmented party at best right now. It's certainly interesting that the only counter-MAGA leaders surfacing are leaders who have in the past not been able to sell their progressive platform. Maybe this its time!

The Democratic Party must either coalesce around Bernie/Progressives or come up with a more evident plan to unite all Democrats behind a single goal...to preserve our democracy. Bernie's "the man!"

There's a graph showing 2000 protests so far, but I'm not sure where that number comes from. 50501 said 288 on March 8th, and lots on presidents day+ vets, federal workers, 400 for NAtl park service and repeating ones at tesla showrooms.

Sarah Jones & Jason Easley's avatar

The goal seems to be to flip the House, and there are less than two dozen swing districts. Going to every state would mean going to a lot of places where there aren't seats up for grabs, and that probably isn't the best use of time and resources. That being said, the tour still hasn't come east or visited the south yet, so there are probably a dozen or more dates to come. There are also a few swing districts in California that Sanders could visit too.---Jason

Peter. Wow! You sound like such a nice guy.

Your understanding of the low poll numbers for democrats seems limited. It’s not because we think what republicans are doing is okay. It’s because the dems aren’t doing enough! Don’t seem to be fighting hard enough against Trump & Musk abolishing the programs we’ve already paid for (wasting $), stealing our own personal Social Security benefits by nefarious means, stripping Medicaid of funds, taking food from the hungry, dissing our friends and loving on our enemies etc. They are basically just breaking everything! All for tax breaks for the very wealthy. They have no shame; and the dems aren’t doing enough to protect us from the president’s whims and Project 2025s implementation. Chuck Schumer’s (and others) voting ‘yes’ on the CR only helped compel the downward slide.

So to restate: Fresh faces & messaging , Governor’s of Pa & Ky do a good job. We don’t need others who just turn people off cuz too far left & go too far left on fringe issues that turn people off. For many it is just too far off the beaten path. We need people who can consistently carry the message across all states. This is what I took away from your note. If correct, it makes sense for a strategy and one we need to implement now.

We need solid candidates as we move forward. We need to find more who are willing to do this hard work. I think we need to give Bernie & AOC credit in standing up to bring that message across the country. To your point we need others to show a side of the Democratic party that isn’t as far left. We need strong voices to makes sense to a large audience that wears many different hats. My thoughts. It doesn’t mean I won’t keep standing up to what is happening. Thanks for clarifying.
