I don't think it was politically motivated at all. I think just like all the other outlets owned by big corporations that have caved, it is all about money. Remember, MSNBC leftward branding is basically just marketing. They have 0 progressives on the network, and more hours featuring former Republicans than progressives. Comcast needs government approval to spin off and likely sell MSNBC so they need to make sure the administration doesn't block them. It is the same thing other big corporate media has done since Trump won. Corporate owned media, including MSNBC only cares about profits. They aren't on your side or political.--Jason
