WTH Is Going On?! Chris Berrie's avatar

Our AG in Oregon is one of those involved in the lawsuits against Trump. All of my congressional representatives are also pushing back in numerous ways. They don’t get as much attention as AOC or some of the others with bigger social media presence. But they’re still standing against Trump 2.0 every day.

It’s essential to our Constitutional Republic for the balance of powers be maintained and extremely important that the Executive Branch not be allowed to dictate policies that Congress has not approved.

The balance of power is teetering. Today I am furious with the Dems who voted to censor Al Green for doing what we want them all to do.

Which Dems voted to censure Al Green? That boggles my mind. He only spoke the truth.

Those cretins need to be fired and on their knees apologizing. It was a racial attack. Maybe a knee on their necks. Oh well, ... BtW, what happened to the creeps who strongarmed Al Green?

I was under the impression that we still have free speech, well it depends on where you live, too. Here, in FL, the Governot (yes, not) claims FL is the freest state. Other than book bans, abortions, voting if you are black, care about over development, support public education and more. At least after the next hurricane Desatan won't have to worry about denying WOKE assistance to the storm victims..

King Trump will visit Florida.

Throw some toilet rolls into the eagerly waiting crowd. Photo's will be made. King Trump disappears. The disaster victims will wait and wait and wait for any assistance from the Trump regime.

Agree. Why censor a voice that needs to be heard? These are not normal times. So long as there are no threats, we need to change the rules.

It would have taken most likely a Democrat Representative (doubt it would have been GOP) to introduce a censure resolution on the floor for either of them. No Representative did that either time. Republican Rep. Dan Newhouse of Washington, is the one who introduced the resolution to censure Green.

I'm with you totally. While I was watching the votes coming up on the screen, I was just flabbergasted to see how many of our democrats were voting with the cut throat MAGAs. I quit watching when it hit 11 of those turncoats. Their constituents need to replace them in the next election.

I still think that the democratic members of congress are not vociferous enough also they are not as visible considering the seriousness of the events taking place around the country

They should get on podcasts, and legacy mediums especially those that are maga biased and make the case!

Great news from this court and our Democratic attorneys general. The Constitution says the executive must faithfully execute the laws. Congress makes those laws. Plus, the case law about Congress not being allowed to delegate its power ought to require findings against any delegation by Congress of its power that the Executive is trying to usurp here. By the way, usurpation of power is tyranny.

One more comment and unsure if I've said it here before as I've posted it on Bluesky and other substacks so I apologize if it's repetitive. All of the EO's going through, bypassing Congress means the powers of the legislative branch are being stripped away. And in some cases, yanked away. Felon47 doesn't want a Congress who can veto what he wants to accomplish.

I saw a cartoon and damn if I can find it again where it's the Felon47 seated in front of both House and Senate in what is supposed to be the Capitol and all of the seats are empty and the cartoon said something like "There... that's better..." He's assuming their powers into the Executive branch so I don't understand and would love someone to explain it to me, why the House and Senate members can't see that they too are being made redundant? Do they think he'll honor the constitution for them? Get that on TV. Get that on billboards because they're truly clueless that they don't understand what is happening. He may have been correct when he said "you won't need to vote again" but one of the reasons besides his plan to be a dictator is there will be no one to vote for if you don't want House and Senate.

Trump is glaring reality why a constitutional republic MUST maintain a division of powers AND a way to rebalance same when one one or another political entity seeks to usurp more power over the other two!

This is great but this administration has no intentions of complying with court orders. They're all about destroying the administrative state, not comforming to it. Musk has created such a mess that it's nearly impossible for them to do so even if they chose to. What happens then?

Expand full comment

If tRump or anyone else defies a court order then they need to be held in contempt and put before the judge and fined and jailed. That is the law isn't it?
