House Oversight Committee ranking member Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) said that there are no Democratic votes to save Mike Johnson if Republicans fail to elect him speaker.
It’s past time for Dems to start standing up and saying NO to saving Republicans from themselves! I want to see Dems listening to us, the people who elected them, and stop trying to play nice with people who have no rules for the game. Do what you can do until we can take back the whole chamber. Also: I LOVE Hakeem Jeffries!
I think it would be great if the dems unite to resist Trump and his dangerous agenda; but I'll believe when I see it. I'm already hearing some "moderate" dems (Angie Craig and Jared Golden) mouthing off about how if President Biden ran the dems would have been wiped out. They can't respect our President on his way out of office. SHAMEFUL!!!!
