I agree with everything Mr. McGovern said, but I am not impressed with the conduct of the Democrats when Mr. Green was escorted out. Only a few Dems were justifiably upset enough to walk out with him. Why didn't they show some unity and all walk out with him instead of sitting there and holding up those stupid signs. This party needs to get its act together or we are not going to do as well as they think we will in the primaries.
We have seats to fill in the House and Senate and I don't see anyone in our party behaving like they give a damn. They seem to be relying on the idea that Trump and his MAGAs are automatically fail because the public will be fed up with him and his party. That's a dangerous way to think. The Democrats need to start acting as a unit and getting out the vote themselves. I don't mean sitting at a computer asking for donations. They don't need donations. They need all the voters they can get.
I care, but cannot supply money to every Democratic appeal as I am retired and on a low money budget. I do vote in every damn election. I wish I could slap every Democrat that failed to vote in 2024.
Many of us retired Democrats are in the same boat. Social Security in my case is my only income. I donate what little I can when I can, but I am bombarded by donations from every Democrat with a cause. That's why near the end I suggested they should not sit at a computer to elicit donations, but instead get off their buts and meet with the people.
After the behavior of Boebert, Green, and others, this is particularly egregious and telling. Biden just blew the idiots off, but Trumpie got his widdle feelings hurted! Boo fucking hoo!

What this country MUST have is a much quicker way to peel hoodlums like trump and musk away from the rest of the country and either exile them, in Russia, or throw them in prison. And I mean in less than a week too! Ex. Peru, a functioning democracy had a President last year who tried to disband the Congress. It took them two days to try him, find him obviously guilty and stick him in prison. It is inevitable that the longer toxic waste is allowed to lie around the more decency it can contaminate. We cannot afford to let the likes of a Trump exist in the public eye as long as Trump has been here.
Obviously, Republicans think that they are above the rules applied to others. I have not voted for a Republican since 2016, despite having voted Republican for 45 years, and I will never vote for any Republican ever during the rest of my life. I am 75, so I don’t know how long that will be, but that is my pledge.
Trump is gutting the government to give a tax break to Billionaires, who could fund the government themselves if they cared to. THIS IS NOT A GOVERNMENT AUDIT.
I finally saw the light when rombo reagan was Gov. of Calif, and couldn't stomach him then. He was a disaster for the country I don't know why he is still adored. Ugh. This "president" makes rombo look good. I agree, all the Democrats should have walked out with Al Green. My Senator Wyden had a virtual Town Hall meeting at the same time that I attended, so I didn't see Green escorted out. I can't donate to all the requests, either. I am retired. My family was die hard republicans until my sister couldn't stand nixon & she showed me what a crook he really was. Thank God for FDR.
