Typical democrats! Not one of his nominees are qualified (except Rubio) and leave it to these cowards to sell out their base. I live in Pennsylvania and am so disgruntled with Fetterman. I will make it my mission to see that he is primaried and beaten. What a pos!

I read a quote from Sen. Peters who was impressed by Noem’s assertions to work in a bipartisan fashion at her hearing. It looks like most (all) of the six were on the committee that was tasked with her confirmation hearing. It looks like once again most wishful thinking from Democrats that doesn’t meet the reality of these times.

There is a lot of "wishful thinking" among Senate Democrats. House Democrats seem to have a better understanding of our current moment.--Jason

Senator Peters should have spoken with some of the Tribal Leaders from Noem's home state of South Dakota. She lied about bipartisanship and these Senators were fools to believe her assertions.

She is not allowed to step foot on any Tribal lands in SD. She calls all Tribal leaders in SD part of the "Drug Cartels" and they all deal in the drug trade.

I feel sick.

This is so disappointing. Democrats may not carry the vote, but I would certainly like to see a united front. Jeanne Shaheen, Tim Kaine, I’m looking at you. Jon Fetterman is just a contrarian.

Most Governors do not use their deliberate, fatal shooting of a dog, and a goat, for resume-building content. In this administration, this very act may be her singular experiential qualification for homeland (hers, whose?) security, and what "got her over the top." Shame on all of the senators who voted for her in this role.

I’d expect that from Sen. Fetterman, a cross between Manchin and Sinema, but my Sen. Kim is a disappointment and should know better. She boasted about killing her dog and goat and they voted for her to head our Department of Homeland Security. I agree that after Trump’s unlawful termination last night of the Inspector Generals, Senate Democrats needed to show unity and stood up together to vote against her nomination. It’s a joke to believe that she’ll practice her message of bipartisanship and reach across the aisle.

There is no "collegiality" left in the Senate, and continuing to chase after people who do not like you is pathetic.

After what Trump has done this week, especially the J6 pardons, cancelling security protection for his political enemies, and firing the IGs, all cooperation with Trump’s agenda should be over. Republicans have a majority in the Senate. Let them approve these abysmal nominees without Democratic support and then fully own the outcomes. Disappointing.

John Fetterman, Jeanne Shaheen, Tim Kaine, Scott Peters, Alisa Slotkin, and Andy Kimare are taking showing the MAGA's they can work together with their orange face tooooo far. Remember this next election and primary their asses. If we Democrats wanted Republicans we'd have voted for them.

Noem like so many of Trump's proposed administration is unsuited and has no experience in the job. She like so many others is there to approve of whatever Trump wants them to approve.
