Biden speaks at his post midterm election press conference

Biden Took No Questions From Fox News At His Press Conference

Biden took questions from nine different outlets at his press conference and none of them were Fox News.

According to the White House Pool Report as provided to PoliticusUSA:

After his opening remarks, Biden told the room he was going to take questions from a list of 10 reporters. He ultimately called on eight outlets, with each reporter asking multiple questions: The Associated Press, CBS, CNN, ABC, The Grio, Bloomberg, NBC News and The New York Times. Questions covered the midterm results, his 2024 plans, the economy, Ukraine, a potential meeting with Xi Jinping and more.

A fellow reporter helpfully pointed out that President Biden also called on Reuters. So, nine outlets in all. Your pooler apologizes for the oversight of the great Steve Holland.

The day after Democrats performed much better than expected in the midterm election, President Biden stuck to accepting questions from credible outlets only.

Biden did not make any time for the right-wing propaganda of Fox News.

Without Fox, the press conference contained mostly serious and newsworthy questions outside of the Chuck Toddesque asks from NBC News’s Kristen Welker.

The press conference was a success because Biden got good questions, and he delivered substantive answers, and best of all, President Biden felt no need to call on Fox News.
