A New York judge ordered Rudy Giuliani to testify in the Georgia Trump election meddling criminal investigation.
A New York judge has ordered Rudy Giuliani to testify before the Georgia special grand jury hearing evidence in an investigation into possible 2020 election interference by former President Donald Trump and others, court filings show.
The order came after Giuliani, who was Trump’s personal attorney, failed to appear at a July 13 hearing before the judge to challenge a subpoena for his testimony in the investigation.
Giuliani, just like Sen. Lindsey Graham, had been trying to fight and dodge the subpoena. Rudy Giuliani is under criminal investigation in Georgia because he tried to pressure state election officials to change the 2020 election results and made Donald Trump the winner.
Rudy Giuliani is facing a mountain of lawsuits. He is being sued by Dominion Voting Systems for his lies about voting machines. The former Trump lawyer is under Justice Department investigation for potentially illegal foreign business dealings, and he is being looked at for his role in the fake elector plot and for pressuring state election officials to overturn the 2020 election.
Giuliani is likely to be convicted at some point, and hopefully, he will never appear in national politics again.
