John Fetterman Shatters Pennsylvania Record With $11 Million Fundraising Haul

Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman set a state record by raising $11 million in the second quarter for his US Senate campaign.

The Fetterman campaign provided the details of his fundraising in a statement to PoliticusUSA:

  • To date, the campaign has raised over $26 million.
  • The campaign raised a total of $11 million in the second quarter of 2022.
  • This is Fetterman’s highest-ever quarterly total by far, and the most money any Pennsylvania Senate candidate has ever raised in one fundraising quarter.
  • To date, the campaign’s average donation is just $29.87.
  • In the second quarter alone, Fetterman received over 358,000 donations from over 200,000 unique donors.
  • In the second quarter, Fetterman received donations from more than 139,000 first-time donors.
  • That means that 69% of Fetterman’s second quarter donors were new donors.
  • Of the $11 million raised, $8.3 million was raised after Fetterman clinched the nomination on May 17th.
  • To date in the campaign, Fetterman has received over 890,000 donations from more than 330,000 unique donors.
  • More than 99.99% of Fetterman donors have not given the maximum contribution and can give again and again.
  • More than 99% of Fetterman donations are $200 or less, and more than 94% of donations are $100 or less.

Democrats Are Showing  That They Are Engaged In The Midterm Election

“I truly cannot thank all of our supporters enough,” said Fetterman. “The outpouring of support for our campaign since we became Pennsylvania’s Democratic Senate nominee has just been extraordinary. We’re well on our way to flipping this seat in November with your help. To date in our campaign, we’ve received donations from over 109,000 donors in Pennsylvania, which could fill both Heinz Field and PNC Park at the same time. Gisele and I are overwhelmed with gratitude for the support that we have received. Thank you.”

For all of the Democratic gloom and doom stories that are being published in corporate media, the one fact that is consistently overlooked is that Democratic candidates like John Fetterman are having no trouble raising money, which suggests that the Democratic base understands the stakes of the midterm election, and they are engaged in supporting candidates that reflect their priorities.

Control of the Senate may hinge on Pennsylvania, and voters are showing up with their wallets to support John Fetterman.
