The House Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on Monday to formally receive the impeachment evidence against Trump.
According to the hearing notice sent to PoliticusUSA by the House Judiciary Committee, the committee will receive the evidence on Monday, December 9 at 9 AM ET, “Today, the House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) announced that on Monday, December 9, 2019 the House Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing to receive presentations from counsels to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and House Judiciary Committee, as authorized by the House of Representatives under H. Res. 660 related to the Impeachment of President Donald J. Trump.”
The notice was sent out less than two hours after Speaker Pelosi directed Judiciary Committee Chairman Nader to begin drafting articles of impeachment against Donald Trump.
Impeachment is going much faster than Republicans and Trump expected. As reports continue that Trump and Rudy Giuliani are still attempting to solicit foreign election interference to help Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign, the House is clearly feeling the urgency to act immediately.
The threat to the integrity of the 2020 election didn’t end with the Zelensky phone call. Trump is still trying to corrupt the election for his benefit, and the president is finding out that when power is abused, impeachment can come at you fast.
