MSNBC Blacks Out Trump’s Dog Medal Award Impeachment Distraction

Trump awarded Conan the dog a medal as he the president is hitting a new low in his bid to distract America from his impeachment.

As they walked in, Trump ignored questions about whether he directed the secretary of defense to fire the secretary of the Navy, and whether he thought Conan was a “very good boy.” The President seemed to say he does have confidence in Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney although it was one hundred percent clear which question he was answering. Your pooler would refer you to the video for that one. Your pooler asked the First Lady if she wanted to adopt Conan for Barron Trump. She seemed to say no, but it’s probably also best to review the video on that one.

One important note, the White House staff informed the pool that Conan was not accompanied by his normal handler for this appearance since the handler participated in the Baghdadi raid and cannot appear publicly. In spite of being with a new handler, Conan was very calm and composed. In your pooler’s humble opinion, he was a very good boy. A very good boy indeed.

Cable news didn’t fall for it, as MSNBC showed a minute of live video, but no audio of Trump:

Most presidents that were facing impeachment would double down on hard work, and show the American people that they do not deserve to be impeached. Since Trump has no interest in governing, he is creating a series of sideshows to distract the country, such as awarding a medal to Conan the dog.

None of this is working. The harsh spotlight of the presidency can’t be shifted. It is always on Trump, and the focus is impeachment. Trump can award a thousand medals to dogs, but it doesn’t change the fact that he is going to be impeached.
