The House is investigating Donald Trump’s lie to Robert Mueller that he never discussed Wikileaks with Roger Stone. If Trump lied, it’s a felony.
The House of Representatives is now investigating whether President Donald Trump lied to special counsel Robert Mueller in written answers he provided in the Russia investigation, the House’s general counsel said in federal court Monday.
“Did the President lie? Was the President not truthful in his responses to the Mueller investigation?” House general counsel Douglas Letter told the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit about why the House now needs access to grand jury material Mueller collected in his investigation.
Trump claimed that he never talked to Roger Stone about Wikileaks in his written responses to Mueller, but witnesses overheard Trump talking to Stone about Wikileaks during the campaign.
As Richard Painter pointed out if Trump lied, that’s a felony:
“But Trump told Mueller in his written statements he didn't recall discussing WikiLeaks with Stone.”
Manafort and Gates testimony suggests otherwise.
If Trump lied, that's a felony.

Trump has a little more than 13 months left in office. If it is found that he lied to the special counsel investigation, and the president loses his bid for reelection, the next Department of Justice under a Democratic president could charge Donald Trump with a felony.
The next attorney general under a potentially Democratic administration, which Trump should pray daily isn’t Sen. Kamala Harris, will have to decide whether or not to prosecute Trump.
Trump lied to Mueller, just like everyone knew that he would, as those chants of lock him up could become a reality if a Democrat wins the 2020 election.
