Former Trump NSC official Tim Morrison testified in the impeachment investigation that he was warned about Rudy Giuliani and the shadow Ukraine policy.
CNN’s Manu Raju tweeted:
Morrison’s testimony has confirmed Bill Taylor’s testimony about the quid pro quo and Rudy Giuliani’s shadow foreign policy involving Ukraine.
CNN reported, “Morrison, whose testimony is ongoing behind closed doors, has so far corroborated testimony by Bill Taylor, the top US diplomat in Ukraine, about interactions the two had regarding the President’s efforts to press for investigations, but he did deviate on some details, such as the location of an interaction, sources said.”
There has yet to be a witness that disputes the central allegations in the impeachment investigation. The witnesses are independently confirming each other’s accounts of Donald Trump abusing his power by withholding military aid from Ukraine unless they investigated Joe Biden.
Republicans complain about the process of the investigation, but facts don’t appear to be in dispute.
There has yet to be a single witness come forward to say that Trump did not pressure Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden. No one has denied that the president conditioned aid to Ukraine on the Ukrainians launching a Biden investigation. Republicans can scream Soviet-style impeachment on Fox News twenty-four hours a day, but they have yet to deny the facts surrounding Trump’s impeachable offenses.
