Rudy Giuliani says that he won’t comply with congressional subpoenas for documents on his Ukraine activities, but the impeachment investigation is the least of his problems.
President Donald’s Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani told ABC News on Tuesday he is not complying with a congressional subpoena.
Giuliani told ABC News, “if they enforce it, then we will see what happens.”
Giuliani went on to say he is no longer retaining the services of Jon Sale, who was acting as his attorney for this matter. Giuliani said that if Congress seeks to enforce a subpoena, then he will retain counsel.
It is like Giuliani was saying, “who needs a lawyer for impeachment when prosecutors are examining your bank records for potential felonies?” Giuliani was never going to comply with the subpoenas. The Trump gameplan is to stonewall, and hope that this all blows over after the 2020 election.
Giuliani dumping his lawyer is such a Rudy move. As he gets into more legal jeopardy, Giuliani is showing his innocence by getting rid of his lawyer.
It is all crashing down on Trump and his attorney.
Rudy Giuliani will lose in court when the House does enforce these subpoenas. That is if he can avoid being arrested by the feds first.
