Trump is trying to defend himself from impeachment by tweeting fake online polls about Adam Schiff resigning.
Trump’s tweet:
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 3, 2019
Trump has always had a love for unscientific online polls. Those high approval numbers that he always tweets that don’t match up with any other polls always come from unscientific online polls. Surprise. The readership of right-wing Breitbart want Schiff to resign and be investigated.
Rep. Schiff isn’t going to resign, and he will never be investigated. The House Intelligence Committee Chairman has done nothing wrong. Investigating the president is part of the constitutional duty of government oversight.
Donald Trump is still looking for someone to make the bad guy and to use to deflect attention away from his impeachable offenses. He has settled on Adam Schiff. The strategy is not working. Trump has no facts or evidence to support his claims, so he is angrily sitting on Air Force One tweeting fake polls in a pathetic effort to show himself that he is winning on impeachment. Every time Donald Trump opens his mouth, he makes it more likely that he will be impeached.
As if Wednesday’s outburst at the White House wasn’t enough confirmation, Trump is tweeting online polls as he retreats to fantasyland as he is about to be the third president in history to be impeached.
