Trump wanted migrants to be shot in the legs so that they would be slowed down and couldn’t cross the Southern Border.
The New York Times reported, “Privately, the president had often talked about fortifying a border wall with a water-filled trench, stocked with snakes or alligators, prompting aides to seek a cost estimate. He wanted the wall electrified, with spikes on top that could pierce human flesh. After publicly suggesting that soldiers shoot migrants if they threw rocks, the president backed off when his staff told him that was illegal. But later in a meeting, aides recalled, he suggested that they shoot migrants in the legs to slow them down. That’s not allowed either, they told him.”
The Times story also noted that Trump believes that the only thing that will work is a concrete wall, and he thinks his staff is making him look like an idiot because they have not been able to close the entire Southern Border in a day. The information in the story was gathered before House Democrats moved to impeach him. The details of Donald Trump’s thought processes and behaviors are coming out, and they are revealing a president who is clearly not well.
Shooting women and children who are seeking asylum because they are fleeing violence is a level of depraved lunacy that this country has never seen in a president.
Trump’s entire mentality is to terrify and frighten immigrants enough to prevent them from coming to the United States. It is he used tear gas on migrants and put children in cages. It is also why detention centers have become unsanitary disease holes.
