AG Barr is angry at Trump after the president treated him like his personal lawyer and roped him into the Ukraine scandal.
Trump repeatedly told Ukraine’s president in a telephone call that Barr and Trump personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani could help investigate Trump’s Democratic rival Joe Biden, according to a rough transcript of that summertime conversation. Justice Department officials insist Barr was unaware of Trump’s comments at the time of the July 25 call.
When Barr did learn of that call a few weeks later, he was “surprised and angry” to discover he had been lumped in with Giuliani, a person familiar with Barr’s thinking told The Associated Press. This person was not authorized to speak about the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.
Trump claims to demand loyalty above all else, but he recruited a morally empty crew to fill his administration with that will do his bidding, but appear to have no loyalty to him. When Barr auditioned to be Trump’s attorney general, it was clear that Trump wanted an AG who would “defend him, ” and “be loyal to him.”
Donald Trump has always wanted to make the Department of Justice his personal legal team. William Barr should not be angry or surprised that he was treated as such in the Ukraine scandal. Barr sold his soul to Donald Trump.
As the impeachment pressure is growing the White House has turned into a circular firing squad with Giuliani bringing down Secretary of State Pompeo, and Barr angry at Trump.
The Trump White House is sinking and the rats are blaming each other as Trump’s presidency is going under.
