Protesters Outnumber Trump Supporters At The Site Of The Dayton Mass Shooting

NBC News’ Gabe Gutierrez reported:

Dozens of people, perhaps more than a hundred or so at this point have gathered. Many earlier started chanting “Do something.” That’s something we’ve heard repeated over the last couple days, here at a vigil less than 24 hours after the shooting, people chanting “Do something” when the governor of Ohio decided to get on stage. They told me the last couple days of the frustration, that they feel the government, state government, federal government isn’t doing enough. That’s what we’re seeing right now reacting to the president’s visit.

….

Certainly. If we can look over there where I was standing earlier, you see one of president trump’s supporters holding up the trump 2020 flag. It’s a small group right in that particular group, perhaps a half dozen president trump supporters. We’ve seen a few more throughout the crowd. What they say is they welcome the president.

People In Dayton Want Action, Not Trump Photo-Ops

Trump showing up in Dayton, taking a few pictures, and leaving is not good enough. People want action. They are tired to “thoughts and prayers,” excuses, and blaming video games. The American people want this epidemic of senseless death to stop.

The demands of these people aren’t going to be met. Trump and the Republicans didn’t act after Parkland. They didn’t act after Pittsburgh, and they aren’t going to act after Dayton and El Paso. There is only one way for the American people to make the gun violence stop, and that is to elect candidates who pledge to change the nation’s gun laws and encourage gun safety with common-sense legislation.

Your vote is the best way to do something about mass shootings.
