During Tuesday night’s Democratic debate on CNN, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wasted no time showing that she could go toe-to-toe with Donald Trump if she ends up being the party’s nominee.
In her opening statement, the rising 2020 hopeful said, “Donald Trump disgraces the office of president every single day, and anyone on this stage tonight or tomorrow night would be a far better president.”

While the primary polling has fluctuated from time to time, especially after the first Democratic debate last month, Elizabeth Warren’s standing has remained relatively stable.
Warren has slowly and steadily been climbing in national and early-state polling, while Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has shown a slight decline. According to RealClearPolitics, she is jockeying with Sanders for the second-place behind Biden.
Former vice president Joe Biden remains the front-runner who is seen by primary voters as the most electable Democrat, but Warren isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
The Massachusetts senator is is steadily building a strong and formidable campaign on substantive policy solutions and a willingness to take it to Donald Trump.
