As he looks out into the crowd on the 4th of July at the National Mall, Trump will face a sea of John McCain t-shirts.
According to HuffPost, “VoteVets has already raised enough money to make more than 5,000 T-shirts, which veterans will hand out to people on the National Mall and, before that, deliver to members of Congress. All of the shirts, which feature an image of the Navy destroyer named after three generations of John S. McCains — including the late Arizona senator and Trump critic — are being made by Rags of Honor, a company that employs homeless veterans.”4
VoteVets has teamed with Rags of Honor, a t-shirt printing company that employs veterans to produce the shirts that honor both Sen. McCain, and those who serve on USS John McCain who had their ship hidden from Trump’s view out of fear that the sight would upset him.
Trump planned a 4th of July party to honor himself. Instead, he is going to get a sea of red, white, and blue reminders of what is best about America and what service to country is all about. John McCain may have left this world, but he will be at Trump’s 4th of July party in the form of remembrance and tribute by thousands that will serve as a reminder of everything that is not, and will never be.
