Kamala Harris Sends Debate Crowd Roaring By Exposing The Myth Of Trump’s Economy

Kamala Harris sent the crowd roaring on Thursday night after she tore Donald Trump to shreds for bragging about an economy that isn’t working for the middle class.

Harris said Trump likes to brag about the low jobless rate, but the problem isn’t that people aren’t working. It’s that they’re working multiple jobs to make ends meet – and they still aren’t able to put food on the table.

“In our America, no one should have to work more than one job to have a roof over their head and food on the table,” the California senator said.

I’m meeting people who are working two and three jobs. This president walks around talking about and flouting his great economy. My great economy. My great economy. You ask him, well how are you measuring the greatness of this economy of yours? And he talks about the stock market. Well, that’s fine if you own stocks. So many families in America do not. You ask him how are you measuring the greatness of this economy of yours and they point to the jobless numbers and the unemployment numbers. Well, yeah people in America are working. They’re working two and three jobs. So when we talk about jobs, let’s be really clear: In our America, no one should have to work more than one job to have a roof over their head and food on the table!

Trump has done nothing to help the middle class

While Donald Trump continues to brag about the economy he inherited from Barack Obama and Joe Biden, the truth is that he hasn’t done anything substantive to help the American middle class.

His one so-called accomplishment in his first term was a massive tax cut that benefited the wealthiest Americans and corporations.

Kamala Harris exposed the myth of this president’s economy on Thursday night, and it’s a message that could resonate in parts of the country that Donald Trump needs to win a second term.
