Days after Donald Trump left the UK following an embarrassing visit, Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle made her second post-royal baby public appearance.
According to The Daily Beast, “Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle made her second post-baby appearance at the Trooping the Color ceremony in London on Saturday to honor Queen Elizabeth II on her 93rd birthday.”
Days earlier, Markle did not attend any of the festivities related to Trump’s state visit. As Martin Lewis joked on Saturday in a discussion with MSNBC’s Joy Reid, Trump will likely tell himself that the Duchess of Sussex who appeared on Saturday was just a double.
“Meghan Markle can’t go out. She just had a baby,” Lewis said. “It’s not as though she could just go up to London and make a public appearance. So when you see videotape of her today … that is not Meghan Markle. That is an inflatable from the Sean Hannity collection.”

Meghan Markle clearly wanted nothing to do with Donald Trump
While Meghan Markle stayed home to care for her new son during Donald Trump’s visit to the UK, she could have joined the rest of the royal family this week when they welcomed the president – if she wanted to.
Markle has accurately called Trump “divisive” and a “misogynist” in the past, and Trump recently described her as “nasty,” so it’s no surprise that the Duchess of Sussex took a hard pass on meeting with the U.S. president.
Ultimately, Meghan Markle’s public appearance on Saturday in London makes it abundantly clear: not showing up for the Trump-related festivities just days ago was a choice.
