Thanks to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi it is now known to the world that Trump is terrified of being sent to prison for his crimes.
Politico reported
“I don’t want to see him impeached, I want to see him in prison,” Pelosi said, according to multiple Democratic sources familiar with the meeting. Instead of impeachment, Pelosi still prefers to see Trump defeated at the ballot box and then prosecuted for his alleged crimes, according to the sources.
Trump responded by attacking Pelosi during an interview with Fox News on Thursday, and the meltdown continued on Friday:
Pelosi isn’t the one who is nervous about anything. She isn’t connected to multiple felonies in the Stormy Daniels hush money case. Pelosi has no criminal liability anywhere. The same can’t be said for Trump. The president needs to stop trying to make Nervous Nancy a thing, just like his attempts to get “Sleepy Joe Biden” over, it is another example of Trump projecting his own traits on to his opponents. It’s not going to work. Everybody saw this playbook in 2016 with Lyin’ Ted Cruz and Crooked Hillary Clinton. The sequel is never as good as the original, and Trump’s silly nicknames are played out.
Speaker Pelosi has it right. Impeachment is too good for Trump. He belongs in a jail cell. She has tapped into Trump’s biggest fear and set the president off on a days-long tantrum that is showing no signs of slowing down.
