Trump Just Went Berserk And Blasted Twitter With 60 Retweets In 45 Minutes

Last updated on July 18th, 2023 at 11:28 am

The commander-in-chief went berserk on Saturday and spent another morning retweeting just about every Twitter post under the sun that complimented him or repeated his conspiracy theories.

The retweet storm was a who’s who of right-wing nut jobs and propaganda accounts, including but not limited to Rudy Giuliani , sellout Sens. Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz, Breitbart News, former Gov. Mike Huckabee, GOP chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, Donald Trump Jr. and, of course, days-old tweets from himself.

Some of the subjects touched on during the president’s meltdown included the bipartisan subpoena issued to Trump Jr., FBI conspiracy theories, former VP Joe Biden, the president’s approval rating, and the ongoing and escalating trade war with China.

The retweet avalanche: a symptom of Trump’s fear and instability

If we know anything about Donald Trump, it’s that he makes it pretty obvious when something scares the hell out of him.

That’s been obvious over the past several years as he worked tirelessly to obstruct the Russia investigation. He was afraid of it.

Since the Mueller report was released, Trump has repeatedly wheeled out his hand-picked attorney general to lie about the special counsel findings and, now, to make sure the unredacted report and its underlying evidence isn’t released. He’s afraid of the public seeing it.

As Congress uses its oversight authority to get its hands on Trump’s tax returns and financial documents, he has simply ignored the law and stonewalled the House of Representatives. He doesn’t want the world to see what a business fraud and failure he is.

After former VP Joe Biden entered the 2020 race and was immediately endorsed by the International Association of Fire Fighters, Trump had a similar social media meltdown. He is clearly terrified of Biden’s candidacy.

His latest meltdown on Saturday morning, which filled his Twitter feed with dozens of more retweets, makes it pretty clear: Trump isn’t just unstable. He’s terrified.
