Trump Falsely Claims Manafort’s Judge Stated ‘NO COLLUSION’

President Donald Trump went to Twitter this morning to share with the world his initial comments about Paul Manafort‘s sentence which was handed out last night by federal Judge T.S. Ellis in Alexandria, Virginia.

Trump tweeted:

“Both the Judge and the lawyer in the Paul Manafort case stated loudly and for the world to hear that there was NO COLLUSION with Russia,”

“But the Witch Hunt Hoax continues as you now add these statements to House & Senate Intelligence & Senator Burr. So bad for our Country!”

However, when Judge Ellis sentenced Manafort to 47 months in prison, he definitely did NOT say that the Manafort case in any way proves that there was no collusion between the president and Russia in the 2016 election.

Instead, Ellis noted that Manafort was being sentenced for charges that exist outside of the collusion investigation conducted by Robert Mueller.  Ellis noted that the case over which he presided did not “involve collusion,” which is a very different thing than saying that there “was no collusion.”

Trump Lies to Feel Better About Himself

As usual, Trump is lying to try to make himself look better, and to feel better about the world that is crumbling down around him. It does make you wonder who he thinks he’s fooling, however. We know that many of his most die hard supporters are the “lower educated” low-information voters that he values so highly. And they probably believe everything he says.

For over two years Donald Trump has been trying to pretend that when he tweets something he makes it true. But obviously in this case the investigation of special counsel Mueller is what will determine what is true, not what Trump tweets.

Mueller’s Files Will Prove There Was Collusion

Robert Mueller’s investigative files — as well as the evidence he eventually provides in a court of law — will show just how wrong Donald Trump is. They will show that there is no witch hunt, and there is no hoax.

Instead, they will show — and prove beyond a shadow of a doubt — that there was indeed collusion (also known as illegal conspiracy) between the 2016 campaign of Donald Trump and the Russian government, led by President Vladimir Putin.

It’s too bad that there are no more adults left in the White House to tell Donald Trump the truth. Instead, he spends his time spinning tall tales and living in a fantasy world created by his own imagination — and Fox News.

Someday soon, however, the real world will hit Donald Trump hard, and when it does his entire fantasy world, built on lies and deceit, will come tumbling down.
