Former Bush Ethics Lawyer Blasts Trump For Acting Like A Russian Mole

Last updated on March 9th, 2019 at 05:15 am

Richard Painter spoke the blunt truth when he slammed Trump‘s dangerous secret communications with Putin and said Trump is acting like a Russian mole.

Painter said on MSNBC‘s The Beat with Ari Melber, “I’d get that translator into a closed-door session with the committee and go through everything in those conversations between our president and Vladimir Putin. This is a very dangerous situation. We don’t have conclusive proof that the president is a Russian mole, but he’s certainly acting like it. And the Congress needs to investigate and find out exactly what was said to Vladimir Putin and look at the rest of this Russia connection. Remember, Robert Mueller is only responsible for alleged criminal activities in connection with the Russia investigation. There’s a lot more going on here that can be very, very dangerous for our national security and this president’s relationship with Vladimir Putin is very strange, indeed.”

Democrats need to find out what Trump is saying to Putin

It got somewhat lost in Jerry Nadler‘s massive Trump investigation launch on the House Judiciary Committee, but Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Elijah Cummings (D-MD) made an important move on Monday when they requested all of the documents and information related to Trump‘s private communications with Putin from the White House.

Democrats have to get to the bottom of what Trump is hiding in his conversations with Putin. Why won’t Trump allow the conversations to be transcribed? Why did he take the translator’s note and tear them up? It is the standard question with Trump. What is hiding? Why is a president keeping secrets from his own government?

Mr. Painter was correct. Trump is acting like a Russian mole, and it is up to the Democrats in Congress to protect our democracy by bringing the mole out of hiding.
