Trump’s tweet promoting his golf course makes sense after he was ordered to pay the Scottish government’s legal fees in a dispute over his golf course.
Trump is abusing his power as president because he lost a lawsuit
The BBC reported, “Mr. Trump battled unsuccessfully in the courts to halt the project before he became US president. A total of 11 turbines make up the development off Aberdeen. Judges have now ruled Trump International Golf Club Scotland Ltd should pay the legal bills incurred.”
David Frum pointed out, Trump was abusing the power of the presidency because he lost a private lawsuit:
So this explains Trump's golf course tweet yesterday. He was threatening the UK government with harm to the US-UK relationship if he is forced to pay the Scottish government's legal costs in litigation Trump started & lost https://t.co/0EWiluExDJ

Trump’s tweet about his Scottish golf course was an effort to intimidate the UK
Trump’s tweet was illegal. The president is breaking the law while mixing his personal affairs with the presidency in unprecedented ways. Trump is mad because he has to pay the Scottish government money, so he is trying to deadbeat out of the case that he lost by threatening the UK.
Donald Trump has turned his personal corruption into the corruption of the presidency, which is why Trump can’t be removed from office a moment too soon.
