Trump Got Nothing From Democrats For Reopening Government

The details of the agreement to end the government shutdown have leaked out, and Donald Trump got absolutely nothing.

Here are the agreement details:

Everything on the above list is what the Democrats wanted.

Pelosi and Schumer gave Trump nothing. It is not an overstatement to say that Trump shut down the government and got nothing but humiliation for his trouble. Trump’s shutdown was a colossal waste of time that did nothing but cause harm to millions of Americans. The myth that Democrats always cave needs to die right now.

Democrats stood united and strong, and they not only beat Trump, but they gave him nothing in exchange for opening the government.

The lesson for Trump is that hostage-taking won’t work. Tantrums won’t work. Trump tried to do things his way and got crushed.

Trump got zilch, as his deal was actually a giant cave.
