Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has sent a new letter to Trump telling him that the House will not authorize the concurrent resolution allowing a joint session of Congress for the SOTU.
Here is the letter that Pelosi sent Trump:

Pelosi just blocked Trump from delivering his SOTU to a joint session of Congress
Trump tried to strong-arm his way into delivering his State Of The Union on the House floor, but Speaker Pelosi is not going to allow that to happen while the government is shut down. Trump is not constitutionally required to deliver the SOTU in person or in front of Congress, but it is the biggest platform that any president will have for an entire year.
Even if Trump were to try to deliver his speech on the House floor, it would not be before a joint session of Congress. Trump could make all of this go away by opening the government, but since he refuses to budge unless he gets his wall that Mexico is supposed to be paying for, look for Trump to instead hold a rally where he will deliver something that he will call a State Of The Union, but it will really more red meat lunatic ramblings for his base.
Nancy Pelosi isn’t playing games, and Trump has to realize that if he is going to starve millions of government workers and contractors with his government shutdown, he is not going to get the pomp and platform of a State Of The Union address.
Speaker Pelosi is flat out owning Donald Trump.
