Congressman Blasts Trump For Living Behind A Wall Of Lies and Fantasy

Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) said that instead of a border wall, we should be talking about the wall of lies, ignorance, and fantasy that Trump has surrounded himself with.

Rep. Doggett said on MSNBC:

I think the members in the Senate united with the Republican colleagues to pass the resolution to us that the president had at least informally indicated he would accept. That’s what got us into the situation we’re in. To some extent, I think maybe we’re talking about the wrong wall. It’s not just the wall along a border.

It is the wall of lies and deception, ignorance, really almost fantasy that the president is surrounding himself with to exclude any views other than those that reinforce his ego and in the process people get hurt whether it’s in the stock market, whether it’s our national security or our economic security from what’s happening here. No, I don’t think the people on the democratic side deserve blame here because they’ve been willing to work to support what the president said he was for. We’re just not willing to waste $5 billion on a wall.

Democrats are united in opposition to Trump’s wall

Trump has never shown himself to be living in reality, so those who are waiting for Trump to join the rest of us here on Earth could be waiting for a very long time. Any other presidential candidate would have never promised a wall that a third country would pay for. No other president would shut the government for that wall after being told that the opposition is rock solidly unified against him.

The wall that has constructed isn’t on the border, but in his own mind, and Democrats are taking a wrecking ball of reality to Trump‘s fantasy presidency.
