Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-CA), the incoming chairman of the House Judiciary Committee said that Trump defrauded and conspired against the American people.
Rep. Nadler said on CNN‘s State Of The Union, “Well they would be impeachable offenses. Whether they are important enough to justify impeachment is a different question, but certainly, they would be impeachable offenses because even though they were committed before the president became president, they were committed in the service of fraudulently obtaining the office. That would be an impeachable offense, but the fact of the matter is what we see from these indictments and charging statements is a much broader conspiracy against the American people involving these payments, involving attempt to influence the campaign improperly, involving the Russians trying to influence the campaign, involving the president lying for an entire year about his ongoing business dealings with the Russians.”

It is an impeachable offense to engage in fraud and conspiracy to obtain the presidency. Presidents can illegally obtain the office. Rep. Nadler summed up a charge that if House Democrats do impeach Trump would help them boil down the president’s litany of crimes into broad categories of impeachment.
There are developing overarching themes of criminality to Trump‘s behavior. Trump has engaged in massive amounts of fraud, and he did conspire with Michael Cohen in a criminal manner that helped him win the presidency. John Dean believes that the House is going to have no choice, but to impeach Donald Trump.
Rep. Nadler laid out the sort of impeachable offense that Donald Trump might be charged with after an impeachment investigation.
Trump conspired against and defrauded the American people. All the pieces are fitting together, and impeachment has never looked more inevitable.
