House Democrats are firmly stating that they don’t want to give Trump a single penny to fund his border wall.
Trump started begging Democrats for votes on Twitter:
Garrett Haake of NBC News reported that while Senate Democrats are willing to spend $1.6 billion on border security, which is not the same as the wall, House Democrats are willing to give Trump nothing.

One of the immediate consequences of the midterm election was that the Democratic House takeover killed the border wall. House Democrats will never agree to fund the wall unless Trump offers major concessions on a variety of issues. Trump has tried numerous threats over the years and even tried to take the money away from the military to build the wall, but has gotten nothing.
If Trump wants his wall, he better keep his promise and get Mexico to pay for it.
