Trump Is Rattled After Mueller Name Drops Him In Docs

Trump thought that he was going to be able to have plausible deniability on the Russia scandal until Mueller mentioned him by name in court documents.

As reported by The Washington Post:

Mueller’s keen interest in their relationship was laid out in a draft court document revealed this week in which prosecutors drew a direct line between the two men — referring to Stone as someone understood to be in regular contact with senior Trump campaign officials, “including with then-candidate Donald J. Trump.”

The inclusion of the president by name in the draft filing rattled his legal team and indicated how closely the special counsel is scrutinizing what Trump may have learned from Stone about WikiLeaks’ release of emails that prosecutors say were hacked by Russian intelligence operatives.

In recent months, the Trump Organization turned over to Mueller’s team phone and contact logs that show multiple calls between the then-candidate and Stone in 2016, according to people familiar with the material.
Mueller has already caught Trump in a big lie , as the president denied having any prior knowledge about the Wikileaks email dump in his written answers, but Jerome Corsi said that he told Roger Stone, and Stone admitted to talking to Trump the next day.

Trump’s obsessive tweeting about Mueller shows that he is scared. Trump is worried about his son Donald Trump Jr. being indicted, and he is throwing around the possibility of pardons to keep witnesses and participants in the conspiracy quiet. Trump has taken to ranting about how cooperating with Mueller is a sign of weakness, and increasing his personal attacks on the Special Counsel.

The Russians are trying to squeeze Trump because they want the sanctions lifted, and Democrats are already warning the president that they are about to drop the investigative hammer on him when they take back the House.

Trump is rattled because Mueller has him cornered as the president is out of places to hide.
