Democrats are announcing that they aren’t going to let Gov. Rick Scott abuse his power and steal the Florida Senate election.
Rick Scott is trying to use the Florida Department Of Law Enforcement, which he helps oversee to steal the election.
According to The New York Times, Gov. Scott said on Thursday night:
The people of Florida deserve fairness and transparency, and the supervisors are failing to give it to us. Every Floridian should be concerned there may be rampant fraud happening in Palm Beach and Broward Counties.
We’ve all seen the incompetence and irregularities in vote tabulations in Broward and Palm Beach for years, but here we go again. I will not sit idly by while unethical liberals try to steal this election from the great people of Florida.
Scott’s comments were a page straight out of the Trump playbook. While you are trying to steal an election, accuse the other side of fraud.
Senate Democratic Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called it out, and vowed to fight:
Trump and the Republicans are flat out trying to steal the governor and Senate elections in Florida. Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum has unconceded and is digging in for a fight. Democrats in the Senate race feel very confident that once all of the votes are counted Sen. Bill Nelson is going to win and that Gillum also has a good chance of emerging victorious.
This isn’t the same old Democratic Party. The will of the people is powering Democrats to fight tooth and nail against Republican corruption.
