The Department of Justice is confirming that they have arrested and taken into custody someone in connection with the bombs sent to Democrats, Trump critics, and CNN.
The DOJ tweeted:
It was later confirmed that the suspect is a man in his 50s:
The investigation moved at light speed once it centered on southern Florida. It is uncertain whether or not this person was previously known to law enforcement and a name is expected to be released soon. It is also unknown how many more bombs may be still out there, or if this person had help.
There is still much more to come on this story, but the good news is that a suspect is in custody, and the nation is closer to breathing a sigh of relief.
