The top-ranking Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) made it clear that no matter how Kavanaugh‘s confirmation process ends if Democrats win back the House, they’re doing an investigation.
Rep. Cummings said that they would investigate and bring in Mark Judge to testify:
When he was asked about impeaching Kavanaugh, Cummings said:
Cummings added, “We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.”
The story isn’t going to end with the Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court confirmation process. Kavanaugh could end up removed from the federal bench. Brett Kavanaugh appears destined for an ending like many others who have chosen to associate with Donald Trump. Kavanaugh could end losing everything because he tried to do things the Trump way.
The fastest path to defeat and ruin for a Republican is to take advice from, work for, or try to be like Donald Trump.
If Brett Kavanaugh thought that the last ten days were difficult, he hasn’t seen anything compared to what is going to happen to him if Democrats win control of Congress and do the real investigation that Republicans have been trying to avoid.
