Trump’s Art Of The Deal ghostwriter Tony Schwartz is warning that is Trump is drowning, and he is going to try to take as many of us down with him as he can.
Schwartz tweeted:
Trump will be at his most dangerous and unstable in the weeks and months ahead. Drowning, he will want to take as many of us down with him as he can. He should never have had access to the nuclear codes but especially not now.

There are likely a couple of different dangerous phases coming in Trump’s behavior. The first phase is what we are witnessing now. Trump is trying to defend himself through distraction. Trump is attacking Attorney General Jeff Sessions and falsely blaming President Obama for his felonies committed with Michael Cohen. In Trump’s Fox and Friends interview, he offered an endless series of attacks and distractions, but he never once offered a real defense for his crimes.
The real danger, as Schwartz suggested is going to come when Trump realizes that there is no way out. Would Donald Trump launch a nuclear attack on Iran if he thought that it would keep him in the White House and out of prison? The fact that no one is sure of the answer is why America is entering such a dangerous time.
Trump has lived his entire life in mythology that he created while never being held responsible for his actions. The presidency means that Trump will be held accountable. His closest associates are turning on him, and it looks like only a matter of time until members of his family are indicted. Trump thought the presidency was unlimited power, but what it really is the world’s most famous box.
Donald Trump is trapped, and his desperate acts have only begun.
