MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle Blasts Trump For Letting Putin Lead

MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle asked the key question. Why is the President Of The United States bowing to Putin and letting Russia lead?

Video:

Ruhle said, “The stakes could not be higher but they’re at the choice of the President Of The United States. Much like the summit in Singapore where Trump supporters said there are no other presidents who could get a meeting like this, that wasn’t the case. There were no other presidents that would allow a meeting like that with the American flag side by side with the North Korean flag, and, again, you just said Vladimir Putin will be the first with prepared remarks. You’re basically on his home turf, and let’s put in perspective the U.S. Economy, $22 trillion. The European economy, $19 trillion. The Russian economy, 1 trillion. Why is President Trump putting himself in this vulnerable high stakes scenario and letting Vladimir Putin lead?”

Trump and Republicans spent years claiming that Obama was “leading from behind,” but their president is following Putin. Trump is showing no leadership. Ruhle seized on the key nuances of diplomacy and power. Putin is showing the world that he has the power over Donald Trump. Putin is making Trump look weak, which admittedly isn’t difficult to do, a dime store dictator like Kim Jong-un just did the same thing in Singapore.

It isn’t just that Trump doesn’t know what he is doing and is a buffoon on the world stage. Trump is actively undermining the power and credibility of the US. He has been an elevate authoritarians and dictators tour, and the message he is sending is that democracy is weak. Authoritarians are strong. Trump is a threat to world democratic stability and what he is doing in his “summit” with Putin is a disgrace and a threat to the United States of America.
