Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) freaks out on Fox News and tries to blame Rod Rosenstein, Hillary Clinton, and the Steele Dossier for his wrestler sex abuse scandal.
Video of Jordan blaming Rod Rosenstein:
Jordan was asked about the timing of the allegations, and he answered, “You would have to ask them. I think the timing is suspect. From when you think about how this whole story came together after the Rosenstein interview. Or hearing. With this whole talk about the speaker’s race. But it is just not accurate. And as I said before, conversations in the locker room are a lot different than someone coming up to you and saying there was some kind of abuse. If there had been that we would have dealt with it, the coach would have dealt with it our entire coaching we had five coaches. We would have dealt with it these student-athletes.”
It is a conspiracy by the deep state after Rod Rosenstein made Jordan look like an idiot in a hearing, or it Democrats trying to stop him from becoming Speaker.
Jordan went on to blame Hillary Clinton’s law firm and the Steele Dossier:
Later when asked if this was some kind of conspiracy, Jordan answered, “I’m not saying that at all I’m saying they said they reached out to us. Sent it to a nonexistent email address. Perkins Coie, Hillary Clinton’s law firm. Same law firm that can find an ex-British spy to put together a dossier to go after President Trump can’t find a congressman’s email can’t get ahold of me and then they tell the press we reached out to him and he didn’t respond? That is complete bogus. And I mean, Bret, when we have one of these hearings in Congress, I will tell you one thing, every liberal in the country seems to be able to find our phone number and find our address and call us up. But this law firm who is supposedly doing this investigation couldn’t find that?”
In other words, Jordan wasn’t saying that this is a conspiracy, but it is a conspiracy by the same “dark forces” that are trying to bring down Donald Trump.
Jordan also called the victims liars, and one of his accusers a thief. Jim Jordan has no coherent story relating to what he knew and what he did about the abuse. Jordan is throwing conspiracy theories against the wall to see what sticks, while at to the same time trying to destroy the credibility of the accusers. This should have a familiar ring to it because it is exactly what Donald Trump does.
Jim Jordan is trying to copy the Trump playbook, but he isn’t Donald Trump, and if this interview is any indication of his defense, he should be preparing to resign from the House.
