Trump: ‘Republicans Should Stop Wasting Their Time On Immigration’

President Donald Trump on Friday posted a tweet telling Republican lawmakers to “stop wasting their time” on immigration legislation.

His tweet came after the U.S.House of Representatives struggled to come up with a new immigration bill that would be able to receive a majority of votes either in the GOP caucus or on the floor of the House.  The House rejected a hardline immigration bill Thursday and Republican leaders delayed the vote on a separate, more moderate bill to next week.

Trump admonished the GOP Congress for not reaching agreement and also blamed Democrats for “playing games.” In an example of his mental derangement he said the Republicans in Congress would be able to pass a better immigration bill after the November midterm elections. He said he was expecting the elections to result in a “Red Wave.”

“Republicans should stop wasting their time on Immigration until after we elect more Senators and Congressmen/women in November,” the president wrote on Twitter. “Dems are just playing games, have no intention of doing anything to solves this decades old problem. We can pass great legislation after the Red Wave!”

For some reason Trump seems to think that people are going to accept his lie that Democrats are responsible for obstructing legislation that would result in a comprehensive immigration compromise.  In fact it is Republicans who cannot agree among themselves, and they are the ones obstructing the process.

In a laughable tweet the president wrote:

Elect more Republicans in November and we will pass the finest, fairest and most comprehensive Immigration Bills anywhere in the world. Right now we have the dumbest and the worst. Dems are doing nothing but Obstructing. Remember their motto, RESIST! Ours is PRODUCE!”

Trump’s tweets Friday morning came while his administration is still experiencing a great deal of also fallout over his zero tolerance immigration policy. He also continues to receive criticism for separating children from their parents at the U.S.- Mexico Border.

Once again Donald Trump has shown that world that he is deluded about immigration.  People hate his policies but he still thinks they are popular.  But Trump and other Republicans will get a reality check after the November midterms when they realize their dream of a “Red Wave” is just that — merely a dream. In the meantime all Americans can see that with Republicans in charge of the government nothing is getting done and all of the country’s problems are just getting worse.
