Trump spent Father’s Day tantruming about the Russia investigation and crying unfair, double standard, and a hoax.
Trump spent his Father’s Day ignoring his family, golfing, and whining:
The president’s latest outburst did not materialize out of thin air. The Washington Post reported that Roger Stone met with a different Russian offering dirt on Hillary Clinton during the 2016 campaign, “The man, who called himself Henry Greenberg, offered damaging information about Hillary Clinton, Trump’s presumptive Democratic opponent in the upcoming presidential election, according to Stone who spoke about the previously unreported incident in interviews with The Washington Post. Greenberg, who did not reveal the information he claimed to possess, wanted Trump to pay $2 million for the political dirt, Stone said.”
Stone is trying to frame this as an “FBI sting” operation to get Trump. Meanwhile, Trump’s lawyers are claiming that the Mueller obstruction of justice investigation will be wrapped up within 90 days. Trump’s lawyers also predicted that the investigation would end by Thanksgiving, Christmas, and then New Year’s last year, so nothing that they say should be taken seriously. In fact, their 90-day claim is likely a new effort to keep Trump calm and put a political spin on the investigation.
It is Father’s Day, so Trump is spending his time ranting about the Russia investigation and riding around his golf course. It has been a long and fast fall from the Obama years when America had a president and a First Family that they could be proud of. Trump always put himself first, and his country last.
As thousands of children in US detention won’t see their father’s today, Donald Trump is screaming witch hunt on a golf course when looking over his shoulder and asking himself if this is the day when Robert Mueller comes to get him.
