MSNBC pointed out the hypocrisy of the Trump White House saying nothing about Roseanne’s racist tweet while losing their minds over Samantha Bee’s comments about Ivanka Trump.
Video:
MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt said, “One thing that stuck out to me with this Sam bee flap, the white house responded much more strongly to this than they really ever did to Roseanne’s completely racist tweet. They did call it inappropriate of course but then they sort of changed the subject.”
Halle Jackson added, “Right. And remember how the president himself responded. We haven’t heard from president trump on this, on the Sam Bee comment. But we did hear from the president on the Roseanne tweet. Not about the fact that it was racist, not about what it said and the content of the tweet itself, the comment itself, but instead going after Bob Iger of Disney, reasons why he hadn’t been given an apology. And Sarah Huckabee Sanders came out and read a list of grievances the president had of people who have not apologized to him for comments made about him.”
Trump himself has called women the c-word. Donald Trump is a sexual predator who has been accused of crimes by dozens of women, so this White House doesn’t get to beat the drum and be outraged with a comedian who makes a joke, that if we’re being honest, outraged the White House because it hit too close to home. Besides being Trump’s daughter, is there any reason for Ivanka to be in the White House? She is not qualified to serve as a presidential advisor or work in the White House. Ivanka Trump is supposed to be all about families and children, but she hasn’t been responsible for a single White House policy that helps families and children.
The White House sent a clear message with their responses over the last two days. Racism is fine, but don’t anyone dare come close to telling the truth about how Trump’s kids are completely useless in the White House.
