While appearing on Fox News, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) claimed that Hillary Clinton was using the Department of Justice to spy on Trump’s campaign during the 2016 election.

Maria Bartiromo: It’s quite extraordinary, so you’re investigating the state department. Does that mean it was Hillary Clinton pulling the strings? I mean, here you have Hillary Clinton former secretary of she’s the other candidate. Is she pulling the strings on an investigation launched on her political opponent, Donald Trump?
Devin Nunes: Well, we don’t know that yet, but what I can tell you, I can tell you what we do know. We do know that longtime associates of Hillary Clinton including Sidney Blumenthal and another person I think Corey Shearer were actively giving information to the state department that was somehow making its way to the FBI. This is from two people within the State Department who have now publicly come out and said this in I think in major news publications, so we know this. We know this was at least from at least two witnesses who have publicly said this and so what we’re trying to do is piece all of that together. We now know there was no official intelligence used to start this investigation. We know that Sidney Blumenthal and others were pushing information into the State Department so we’re trying to piece all of that together and that’s why we continued to look at the State Department.
Nunes is in charge of the House Republican cover-up for Trump. Everything Nunes said on Fox News was a lie. The Intelligence Community has issued their reports based on intelligence collected. Hillary Clinton was not running the Department of Justice during the 2016 election. What Nunes is trying to do is begin a new House investigation into Hillary Clinton and the Department of Justice.
If Democrats take back the House, they need to investigate the role of Nunes and others in their using power in Congress to cover for Trump. Nunes is committing a crime against his country. He deserves to not only lose his seat but to face prosecution as part of the Trump obstruction of justice probe. Devin Nunes and Fox News lost their minds. They are searching for any conspiracy to hold on to because they can’t admit the reality that impeachment is coming for Trump.
