H.R. McMaster Flees The Raging Trump Dumpster Fire

National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster is the latest adult to decide to get out while the getting is good as the Trump presidency dumpster fire rages out of control.

The New York Times reported, Lt. Gen. H. R. McMaster, the battle-tested Army officer, tapped as President Trump’s national security adviser last year to stabilize a turbulent foreign policy operation, will resign and be replaced by John R. Bolton, a hard-line former United States ambassador to the United Nations, White House officials said Thursday. General McMaster will retire from the military, the officials said. He has been discussing his departure with President Trump for several weeks, they said, but decided to speed up his departure, in part because questions about his status were casting a shadow over his conversations with foreign officials.”

Trump is filling McMaster’s job with another face that he has seen on Fox News, John Bolton.

Col. Jack Jacobs said on MSNBC that this is a big loss for Trump, “What was really surprising in the first instance because that H.R. Mcmaster was picked in the beginning. I think everybody expected John Bolton to be the national security adviser a year ago. The thing about Mcmaster, of course, is that he couldn’t just quit. Not a very comfortable position for him, because he’s a serving general officer and the only way he could leave is to retire, which he preferred not to do. They were looking for three star and four jobs for him, but couldn’t find them anywhere. And I think there is some semblance of truth to the notion that he left by mutual consent. He is a very, very smart guy. Has a wide ranging view of national security and national security strategy. And his leaving the administration is actually going to be quite a loss.”

So far today, Trump has lost his top defense lawyer and his national security adviser. The stock market also tanked after Trump announced his trade war with China. The Trump is a dumpster fire that is raging out of control, and the departure of McMaster is only going to make an unsteady national security situation, even less stable.
