Beto O’Rourke Just Showed Exactly Why Ted Cruz Is So Afraid Of Him

Beto O’Rourke was on MSNBC’s All In With Chris Hayes where he delivered the perfect message that already has Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) worried and on the defensive.

Video:

O’Rourke was asked why Trump’s approval rating is so low in Texas, and he answered, “I don’t know, but what I’m hearing from folks in Texas as I travel the state is we want no more of the fear or the pettiness or the divisiveness. We want to lead the way from going from the state with the lowest levels of health insurance. 4 million plus Texans cannot see a doctor to the one that leads the way to make sure everyone can see a doctor. We want to be the state that leads the way on immigration, and we want to return our democracy back to the roots back to people. This is a campaign that takes no pact money, no special interest contributions from the NRA or anyone else and it is not just the right way to do things, it is a winning strategy. Those are the things that people in Texas are excited about right now, less against anyone whether it’s Ted Cruz or Donald Trump, more for what we want to achieve.”

The Democratic Senate candidate was asked if those who take NRA money are tainted. He said, “I do. It makes people wonder who it is that that office holder is working for. Are they working for the NRA? If you’re Ted Cruz and they receive $300,000 from the NRA in 2016, someone in Texas can be forgiven for wondering if you work in the NRA or people of Texas. When we take not a dime from the NRA or any political action committee or special interest, folks in Texas know I’m only working for the people in Texas.”

Beto O’Rourke should terrify Ted Cruz

Republicans and Ted Cruz are worried about Beto O’Rouke because he has the perfect message for an election year that is defined by voters who are sick of the chaos, pettiness, and incompetence of Republicans and Trump. O’Rourke’s message of returning the government back to the people is exactly what voters want to hear. It is how voters feel, and it is the opposite of what defines the selfish, petty, and personally ambitious Ted Cruz.

If anyone can beat Ted Cruz, it is Beto O’Rourke. Sen. Cruz knows it, which is why he is already sweating the general election campaign.
