Mika Brzezinski Throws Michael Wolff Off Of Morning Joe For Slurring Nikki Haley With Affair Rumors

Michael Wolff was shut down by Mika Brzezinski when he tried to dance around the rumor that he implied that Nikki Haley was having an affair with Trump.

Video:

Here was the ending exchange:

Mika: I’m going to go as far as to say you might be having a fun time playing a little game dancing around this but you’re slurring a woman, it’s disgraceful.

Wolff: It’s — and Mika, again, she has been accused of nothing. She has decided to deny what she’s not been accused of. Certainly, I didn’t accuse her of this.

Mika: Are you kidding? You’re on the set of “Morning Joe,” we don’t BS here.

Wolff: Well, what’s — read me the language.

Mika: Are you kidding me? I’m not reading you anything.

Mika: If you don’t get if you don’t get what were’s talking about. I’m sorry. You’re on the set. This awkward, but we’re done. Michael Wolff, thank you. We’re going to go to break now. Bye, everyone. We’ll be right back.

Michael Wolff first floated the rumor that Trump was having an affair on Real Time with Bill Maher . The rumor was vague and unbelievable, considering that Trump spends most of his time in the White House alone in his bedroom watching Fox News and tweeting. The idea that Haley would have to sleep her way to the Secretary of State job is offensive, but also predictable.

Any woman who achieves a degree of prominence of achievement will be smeared with rumors that she slept her way to the top. For men, an affair is still culturally regarded as an achievement or boys being boys. The inherent sexism in US culture is why Trump can cheat on his pregnant wife with a porn star who he paid for sex, and it barely registers a blip, but Nikki Haley gets dragged through the mud and smeared because she spent time alone in a room with a man.

That’s why Brzezinski cut off the interview, and if Michael Wolff doesn’t get that, he is just another man living in America.
